An opportunity for college-bound students from Temecula, Winchester, Murrieta, Wildomar, and Menifee to receive a $1,500 scholarship.
The LOCAL Bug Guy started with a mission of standing out by doing pest control the right way.
The right way is serving the community not only with quick, reliable, and friendly service, but by building a business that encourages employees to flourish, take ownership, and feel proud of their ongoing contributions to the community they serve.
Now more than 10 years and 6,000 customers later, we want to help inspire the next visionary to stand out and take action with the LOCAL Buy Guy Community Scholarship.
We will award a $1,500 scholarship to one student from the local area who showcases the determination of instilling change that ultimately creates a better community for future generations.

Scholarship Eligibility

A 2023 high school senior graduating from a high school located in Temecula, Winchester, Murrieta, Wildomar, or Menifee

At the time of the award, be accepted to a two or four-year college or university in the United States with the intention to enroll part-time or full-time in Fall 2023

Submit an application and personal essay of 500 words using the form at the bottom of this page
Scholarship Essay

Based on a brief interview or previous conversation you’ve had with a business owner in your community, what lessons or insights did you learn that you will keep in mind as you pursue your career aspirations?

By submitting an application for The LOCAL Bug Guy Community Scholarship, you automatically agree to the following:

No! You can apply for this scholarship regardless of what you plan to study.
If I am selected, how do I receive my scholarship funds?
We will send the money directly to your university or college so you can use it toward your tuition, books, or any other costs related to your education.
Does the essay need to be written in a specific format?
Please type your 500-word essay in a Microsoft Word document, double-spaced, 12-point font.
Is this scholarship renewable?
This is a one-time-only scholarship of $1,500 for first-year college and university students.
